Hypophagma

A hyposphagma is the concentration of blood in the whites of the eye, which occurs when a small vessel breaks in the area.

Because this hematoma spreads over a large area of the surface of the eye, under the conjunctiva, it is of particular concern to patients.
The hypophagma can be created after sudden weight lifting, severe coughing, vomiting or a large increase in blood pressure.
People with accompanying health problems, such as hypertension, diabetes or taking anticoagulant drugs, are more likely to develop hypophagma.
In addition to its diagnosis, it is necessary to examine the bottom of the eye,   to investigate the possibility of hypertensive retinopathy.

As for its treatment there is no specific treatment, nor any drug for the absorption of hematoma.
The hypophagma subsides and leaves after days. In case of relapses, additional cardiac and hematological monitoring is recommended.
