Standard Child Myopia Control Center

"Astigmatism and other refractive errors such as hyperopia, myopia, and presbyopia can be corrected with glasses, contact lenses, or laser treatment."

Myopia is the most common eye disease in children, affecting 20% of them. In myopia, the child does not see it far and its school performance may be affected. But that’s not all. As the degrees of myopia increase, the chances of developing some associated diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts and maculopathy increase.

Research shows that by 2050 50% of the population will have myopia. We can’t reverse myopia, but we can stop it or slow it down considerably.

Factors that increase the risk of developing and increasing Myopia: When to bring your child for myopia control

  • When parents have myopia: when one parent has myopia the risk of myopia in children increases by 15-20%, while when both parents have myopia the rate increases to 35-40%.
  • When children spend a lot of time on mobile phones, computers, tablets, screens.
  • When children spend some time in activities outside the home with natural light.
  • When you see a child sitting near the TV or not seeing well on the board at school.
  • First time wearing myopic glasses.
  • Frequent change in glasses.

An essential element of any surgical procedure, especially cosmetic surgery, is providing the patient with sufficient time for information.
